Capability · Laser Cutting
Fast 2D cutting and marking for technical parts and prototypes.
Laser cutting is useful for producing flat profiles, templates, panels, development parts and markings directly from digital geometry.
It can be combined with 3D printed or externally manufactured components to produce complete prototypes, fixtures and practical workshop solutions.
Typical work
Where laser processing is useful.
- Flat prototype components.
- Templates and checking gauges.
- Covers, panels and inserts.
- Spacers and simple sheet components.
- Labels, identification and engraved markings.
- Assembly aids and workshop fixtures.
- Rapid iteration of 2D profiles before another production process is selected.
Input and design
From dimensions or CAD to a cut profile.
- Existing DXF, SVG or 2D geometry can be prepared for production.
- 3D designs can be converted into suitable 2D parts where appropriate.
- Kerf, fit and clearances can be compensated in the design.
- Repeated or size-dependent profiles can be driven from parametric geometry.
Materials
Material-specific cutting and engraving.
Selected laser-compatible plastics, wood-based sheet, card and similar development materials can be cut or engraved depending on material, thickness and required edge quality.
